November has arrived and it looks like the Field Research tasks and rewards are not changing. However, the Research Breakthrough rewards will change and there is a new Spinda form, which can be shiny.
Pokémon Go has basic missions that players can complete in exchange for Pokémon encounters, items, and Stardust. They’re called Field Research Tasks.
The Field Research tasks and rewards are going live today, November 1 at 1 PM PDT, and as confirmed by Niantic and Pokemon Go, new Legendary Pokemon will be available as a Research Breakthrough reward (only when collecting the 7 stamps) for the next two months.
Pokemon Go has Field Research tasks that can be defined as daily missions. They can also be collected one at a time just by spinning a PokeStop.
Usually, these missions are catching a particular Pokemon Type, engaging in battles, making great, excellent throws, hatching Eggs and many more.
Completing these tasks will grant you Pokemon encounters and some of them can be shiny.
Each stop will give a task once a day and players can hold up to three tasks at once. Upon completing a task, players will also get a stamp marked with the date.
After getting seven stamps from seven different days, players will encounter a special Pokémon, as well as get Stardust, items, and some XP as rewards.
Players can also turn in multiple tasks a day, but will receive only one stamp for the first task they complete the same day.
On November 1st, the reward for completing a week’s worth of stamps was changed to Articuno, Kyogre, Moltres, Zapdos, or Groudon.
Completing individual tasks will also reward sweet stuff.
Rare spawns like Aerodactyl or Chansey can also be rewards for tasks.
That being said, you’re now safe for claiming the Research Breakthrough and get one of the Legendary Pokemon mentioned above. You’ll also receive an Unova Stone when claiming the Breakthrough.
