Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain launched to the public Wednesday after a frantic construction schedule.
A guitar blow takes the place of a ribbon-cutting at Hard Rock launches. It revolves around the culture of a worldwide entertainment empire revolving around rock ‘n’ roll.
The hotel and casino came from farmland in just 15 months. Many hours before the public opening, final touches were still being done but inside it was working as a soft opening for VIPs.
The interior is basic casino decor with the requisite four-star restaurants and amazing bars. The big distinction arrives in the form of 100 pieces of museum-worthy collectibles from some of the amazing names in rock ‘n’ roll.
The Rock Shop is basic in many of Hard Rock international’s 250 properties throughout the world. With half a dozen casinos in the region, Hard Rock hopes to stand exclusive.
“People recognize the brand and we really think that will let us grow the market, bring individuals in from all over the region and bring individuals on from the western portion of the United States”, said Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Sacramento President Mark Birtha.
A portion of the brand is 79-year-old Rita Gilligan who was the initial employee hired 50 years ago by twin American hippies who could not find a good burger in London.
“The boys gave wholesome, American food topped off along with rock ‘n’ roll music,” Gilligan declared. “Music is the antidote of life. We all adore music.”
There are now 57,000 employees around the world and 1,300 of them are at the modern Hard Rock. Seventy percent of them arrive from the Yuba/Sutter area, which was a promise given by the owners.
“It really is about making the jobs and the opportunities utilizing local vendors,” said Enterprise Rancheria tribal chairperson Glenda Nelson. “We have made assurance that along with the partnership of Hard Rock to make do that.”
