Sadio Mane has cautioned his Liverpool team before their match against the visiting Leicester City team. Mane acknowledges the huge threat that Jamie Vardy possesses ahead of Leicester’s trip to Anfield. According to the Senegalese international, the Leicester forward, Vardy somehow always manages to score.
Jamie Vardy has already scored seven times in nine matches against the Reds ahead of their clash. And he has been in red hot form recently with 5 goals already this season.
‘I think if we want to win we have to play better because we know Leicester, especially this season they are very strong and a very good team,’ Sadio Mane said.
‘For sure we are going to learn from it (the Salzburg game) and be ready for Saturday’s match, which will be a massive game for us. It’s a lesson for the team to be on our toes in the next game. ‘I think they started the season very well and are a very good team and if we want to beat them we have to be 100 percent ready for the clash.’
Liverpool FC are on a record-breaking winning streak in the Premier League this term. And Mane knows his side must be better if they are to continue their perfect start to the domestic campaign. However, they endured a scare in the Champions League this Wednesday and the clash before this against Napoli. The Reds were leading 3-0 up at half-time against Red Bull Salzburg but the visitors came back to make it 3-3 before Mohamed Salah’s goal won them the game.
Mane was part of a tiring summer, playing for Senegal in the AFCON. He has, however, made it clear that he is taking his rest and recovery with the utmost priority in order to get along with Liverpool’s difficult and busy schedule.
