Marvel’s beloved Thor aka star Chris Hemsworth went viral on Saturday night when he was spotted cage-side at UFC 243 for the main show bout between UFC Middleweight Champion Robert Whittaker against the challenger Israel Adesanya.
The event was held at Marvel Stadium earlier called the Docklands Stadium before Disney purchased the naming rights in 2018) in Melbourne, Australia, the home nation for both Whittaker and Hemsworth.
The event ended on a bad note for Chris as the native champion, as Whittaker lost the title to Adesanya via knockout halfway through round two.
Hemsworth was seen after the match taking a snap with Australian fighter Megan Anderson, who emerged victorious via submission earlier in the night.
Sadly for Hemsworth, Israel strolled his way to the cage on Saturday, having fun and appearing calm as if he was heading to a local bar to chug a few shots and play the rondo game with the guys in the neighborhood. But he fought with the surgical precision and subtleness of Jones and Silva, two of the best to ever set foot in the Octagon.
It’s always pointing a finger on what makes someone a superstar, but you know it when you see it. Viewers react to fighters who give them a different high they can’t see elsewhere and you know that the moment you see and listen to Adesanya that he has the strength to move people. He did a long entrance with three dancers that needed am additional approval by UFC president Dana White.
The UFC’s 10th pay-per-view of 2019 was held this Saturday with UFC 243, and the promotion’s highly watched “Embedded” series comes back to get you ready.
UFC 243 will happen at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia. The main title airs on pay-per-view following the initial rounds on ESPN and UFC Fight Pass/ESPN+. A few tickets were still available but most unofficially and in the black market which is being probed by the officials.
