Robert Pattinson is all set to take the baton from Affleck to be the next Cape Crusader in Matt Reeve’s Batman. It turns out that it was not only him who was in running for the role.
A number of actors have played in Batman franchise, George Clooney, Ben Affleck, Michael Keaton, and Christian Ben. For the some, it was awarding while others suffered a public backlash for the role, each and every actor who has played the cape crusader holds the role dear to their heart.
The Batman franchise is the fourteenth highest-grossing media franchise of all time, having a revenue worth of US$25 billion. In such a case it is no wonder that more and more artists want to associate with the franchise.
But did you know that Milo Ventimiglia would have been one of the Cape Crusaders too had the odd played in his favor? Recently the This is Us fame actor unveiled that even though he sees himself as the Cape Crusader, the Warner Brothers did not. He was turned down with “Ventimiglia, you are too old”
Ventimiglia also added that for the time being he has no keen interest in auditioning for superhero parts. “The superhero world? Maybe I’m just playing real-life superheroes right now. Jack Pearson, Denny Swift. They’re real attainable superheroes that are out there in the open representing good guys and good fathers”
About not being a part of the Batman Franchise the actor claimed that it was not a big deal, also that he was “kind of busy” anyway.
The Robert Pattinson starrer Batman is all set to release in 2021.
