Vince Young Charged Over Strip Club Brawl

Titans quarterback Vince Young was issued an assault citation over an incident at a strip club in Dallas around 3 am this morning.  According to witness statements, Creiton Kinchen, an employee of the club, was making negative comments about the Texas Longhorns, including an upside-down “Hook’em Horns” hand gesture.
Young was in the office with several people when Kinchen began his comments and then gave the disparaging gesture.  Surveillance footage shows Young leave the office but as Kinchen continues to make comments, he went back into the office and went after …

Germany vs Australia 2010 – Germany Dominates 4 – 0

The German national team wins 4 – 0 against weak Australians. Striker Lukas Podolski scored the first goal for Germany (8.) and leads the way to a total domination of the German national team. The Australian Socceroos didn’t have a chance against the strong German teamplay.

Chicago Gets Stanley Cup After Almost Half a Century

Chicago hockey fans are euphoric right now after last night’s win over the Philadelphia Flyers.  It’s taken 49 years, but Chicago finally has the victory after coming up empty-handed in five finals since their last Cup win in 1961.
The winning shot cam more than 4 minutes into overtime and 21-year-old winger, Patrick Kane shot it in so suddenly that even the fans didn’t realize what happened.  But when they saw the players throw their sticks up, the fans went wild cheering and stomping.

Hamlin Takes Fourth Victory at Pocono

Denny Hamlin took his fourth victory at Pocono in a dramatic race for Nascar.  Driving his No. 11 Toyota, Hamlin is so fond of the car he’s asked owner Joe Gibbs if he can have it when it’s retired from rotation.
This win leapfrogged Hamlin to third place in the standings for the season.  Coming in second place was Kyle Busch, third place for Tony Stewart, fourth for Kevin Harvick and down to fifth for Jimmie Johnson.

French Open Victory Goes to Schiavone

Francesca Schiavone made history today as she was victorious over Australian Sam Stosur.  Schiavone is the first Italian woman to win a Grand Slam title and the extroverted Schiavone made her feeling clear to the crowd.  The exhausted tennis star fell to the ground and just lay there catching her breath, then kissed the clay and hugged Stosur.  With a huge smile and a face wet with tears, Schiavone made her way into the stands with her ecstatic fans.

Umps Call Blamed for Costing Armando Galarraga the Perfect Game

Jim Joyce may be forever known as the infamous umpire who cost Armando Galarraga the perfect game.  When Joyce called Cleveland Indians’ Jason Donald safe on June 2 during the game against the Detroit Tigers, he dashed Galarraga’s hopes of being the 21st pitcher in history to throw a perfect game.

Celtics Smash Magic 96 – 84

The Boston Celtics won the Eastern Conference finals series 4 -2. After dominating the first two matched it looked like a sweep over the Magic which have not been defeated in the first two rounds of the playoffs before.
